BEN PEARSON WINS THE 2019 FORMULA BLUE ‘0’ PLATE AT MANSELL RACEWAY

In a race filled with action from as early as lap 1, Ben Pearson drove brilliantly to finish 3rd over the line. This coupled with his 3rd place grid start was enough to give him overall victory by the slimmest of margins over Anthony Cleal the actual final winner. David Watts finished 3rd overall, on the same points as Cleal, but lost out on count back.

In the Master and Veteran sections, it was Cleal who won the ‘O’ Plates. Russell O’Neill and Rob Mortimore chased him home in the Master section with Mortimore and David Waldron taking up the podium in the Veteran group.
Ron Shone, having qualified in 3rd drove the Final ‘ like days of old’ to take the win and consequently the Legend ‘O’ Plate. It was Robin Stoddart-Stones and Stuart Gray who claimed 2nd and 3rd overall places.
In the last of the sub-groups, namely Top Weight, it was Ben Pearson who took the flag in 1st Place and also the overall win, from the McLeod son and father duo.
