JUNIOR & FORMULA BLUE NUMBERS
The quest for recognition in the Formula Blue and newly re-formed Junior Blue classes culminated in the NKRA Grade Finals held at the Clay Pigeon Raceway, on October 10th.
Anthony Cleal, with a perfect race performance, retained his No.1 Plate. Russell O’Neill has become the main Challenger after finishing 2nd in the Grande Finals and confirming the No. 2 Plate. Mike Bell with an equally impressive race in the Final of the the Grande Finals secures the No.3 Plate, from Ben Joseph who’s return to Karting has been nothing short of impressive. Paul Alexander moves up from No.6 to No.5 having steadily improved through the year.
In the Junior Blue Class, Sam Mitchell adds the No.1 Plate to his victories in the ‘0’ plate, Blue Challenge and Grande Finals. He has, without any doubt, set the bar for all the other Junior in the next year. Rhys Read had secured enough points during the Junior Blue Challenge to compensate for an indifferent Grade Final result and gain the No.2 Plate. Josh Hibbard, on the other hand, stepped up in the Grande Finals to gain the No.3 Plate. Jamie Dart and Mitch Carpenter won the No.4 and No.5 plates respectively.
The Number Plates will be awarded at the Presentation Evening on 27th November, but competitors will be able to use them exclusively, forthwith, from the next meeting until the conclusion of the 2022 Championship.
