Serita Shone takes an early lead in the TABOR CHAMPS
Following on from the 5 months of the most recent lock-down, competitors were obviously very keen to get back in action. Clay Pigeon on April 11th was the opening meeting for the Junior and Formula Blue’s where most of the competitors eligible for the TABOR CHAMPS competition were racing.
The meeting was fully subscribed with only a few drivers missing, who were still Covid restricted with regards to traveling and overnighting.
At the end of a stunning day’s racing in Formula Blue, which was completed without the need for a single red flag, Serita Shone on 20 points emerged the winner. Last year’s overall winner, Russell O’Neill, finished 2nd on 17 points, followed by Taylor Waldron on 16 points, Mike Bell on 15 points and Kevin O’Neill on 14 points.
The next scoring round for the Tabor Championships is at Mansell Raceway on April 25th.
