Annual Trophy Presentation
and Dinner Dance Ball
SATURDAY 22nd NOVEMBER 2014 – AT THE ROYAL HOTEL, THE ESPLANADE, WEYMOUTH.
Dear Club member / Friend of the Two Counties Kart Club
Over the past 4 years, due to the recession, the 2 Counties Kart Club have presented their awards at a low key event which was combined in with their last race meeting of the year.
Although effective , it did not offer the club members an end of year spectacular, to which they were previously accustomed ! Well this year, by popular request, it`s going to change. This magnificent event is back on the calendar once again !
During the past year, the chairperson Carol Wheeler has organised a `guess the bonus ball` competition at some of the race meeting she also personally did a sponsored parachute jump to raise more funds, with all the proceeds going towards offsetting the cost of live entertainment at the presentation evening.
This year the Trophy Presentation & Dinner Dance Ball, will take place on November 22nd at the ROYAL HOTEL, WEYMOUTH, ( the hotel is actually on the sea front, esplanade). The club policy always was, and this year will be again, to present to the club members and their family and friends an occasion worthy of their annual achievements.
The dress code will be formal, black tie for the men and cocktail dress for the ladies. For the youths (who are still growing) a shirt and bow tie is adequate. After a year of race suits and mechanics overalls, it will also be nice to see everyone dressed for the occasion.
Tickets for the ball will be £30 for adults and £15 for Juniors/Children. These prices, as already stated are substantially subsidised and include.

With the uncertainties of reinstating this event, the planning provides for a minimum of 50 and a maximum of 100 people attending. After this there will not be any extra places , so please get your tickets early, they will be available to purchase from the Two Counties Club Championships round, at the Clay Pigeon Race meeting on October 12th.
Finally drivers who won annual trophies in 2013 are requested to return them as soon as possible to Carole Wheeler or Ron Shone. This will allow for the engraving of the names of the new winners, in time for the presentation aspect of the evening. These trophies can be handed over at any of the remaining 3 race meetings of 2014 ( although the sooner the better as far as our organisation is concerned).
Accommodation is available at The Royal Hotel, where the event is being held, their telephone number is 01305 782777 or book via latebookings.com. ( However their prices seem to fluctuate). Alternatively, we have negotiated with two very nice neighbouring (small) hotels, to open up for us, at a discounted price of £ 60 per twin room ( £ 30 per person) to include a Full English or continental breakfast. (They do have a couple of family rooms, so book early if you need one) These hotels are a couple of doors away, (a mere 20 metres) they are well presented and offer en suite facilities.
