READ WINS NKRA ROUND 3 AT WHILTON MILL

Rhys Read, newly registered racer only turned 16 a few days ago, has upped the ‘anti’ at the front of the Formula BLUE Championship. As an ex-Junior BLUE Champion, he was more than capable of putting down fast laps. this he did at Round 3 of the BLUE Challenge at Whilton Mill starting from Pole and securing the win. His Zero points score has leap-frogged him straight into 17th spot in the overall standings. The newly crowned ‘O’ plate Champion, David Watts finished 2nd on the day, consolidating his lead in the championship. The current number 2, Harry Smithson did all he could but couldn’t quite match the pace of the front two. He did, with a 3rd place on the day, reinforce his 2nd overall position in the championship. Dean Smithers scored a creditable 4th place on the day, moving him up to 3rd place in the championship standing, just ahead of Callum Jobson by one point. Alex Fortune, having not opted for new tyres, raced a little off the front group but still managed to round off the top five in the overall standings.
