TABOR CHAMPS UPDATE – after Lydd 11th June
A roasting hot June weekend at Lydd was the scene for the recent installment of the TABOR Customer Championship. Despite the Parilla Tab-Tag engines being liquid-cooled, a little more caution on the carburettor jetting was necessary.
The racing was intense with drivers hydrating as much as possible throughout the weekend. As, in the previous race, the first two, Anth Cleal and Joey Foster could only be separated by the finest of margins. In this case 0.001 of a second !
In the end, it was a win for Cleal by 0.1 of a second over Foster. Alex Kemp finished 3rd with an overall points tally of 18, Kevin O’Neill 4th, with 13 points and Robin Stoddart-Stones 5th with 11 points.
In the Championship standings, Cleal increases his lead over Foster by 2 points. Kemp moves up to 3rd, Rob Mortimore slips to 4th and Mike Bell holds station in 5th.
The next scoring round of the TABOR Champs is at Forest Edge on July 2nd .
