WATTS WOWS THEM !
14.07.20David Watts, by the virtue of a pole and win, cemented his lead in the BLUE Challenge, at Clay Pigeon Raceway on 12th July, after a four-month layoff due to the Corona Virus.
Returnee Taylor Waldron gave an equally impressive performance coming in 2nd overall ahead of the reigning Number 1 driver, Anthony Cleal.
Cleal also leads the Master and Veteran Sub-classes.
David Goode, overcoming Saturday testing gremlins, took the Legend group to Challenge Stuart Gray at the front. Gray, somewhat bruised from a 2nd heat accident, had to be content with watching the Final from behind the spectator barriers. Another returning hotshot, Ben Joseph, very quickly made his own statement, by claiming the Top Weight win.

THE BLUES ARE BACK RACING!
19.06.20Despite difficulties regarding ‘Coronavirus’ affecting fixtures, the Formula Blue grid will be back in action in July. Unfortunately, the Formula BLUE Challenge Round, scheduled for July 5th at Rissington, will NOT go head, as the Rissington Kart Club is experiencing difficulties obtaining permission from the MOD (their landowners) and they are unable to confirm that the race weekend will take place. Taking this into consideration and the planning and organising that drivers have to undergo in preparing to attend championship rounds, a level of advance notice is required. Consequently, the Rissington Blue challenge round is, reluctantly, postponed. It is hoped that another date may be available at Rissington later in the year.
On the plus side, Clay Pigeon has offered us a slot at their July 11th & 12th race meeting.
Next weekend ( June 27th / 28th) should have been the return of the ‘Blues’ to the Lydd Circuit. An event eagerly anticipated by all, especially those who raced there in the early days, Coronavirus has, unfortunately, put paid to that! The Good News is, that Lydd Club has offered us another weekend. This will be added to an amended Blue Challenge fixture list, which is in the process of being completed and will be available and posted very shortly.
Take care everyone and we look forward to seeing you at Clay Pigeon in July.

NKRA REGIONAL ROUND CANCELLATIONS
25.03.20Following the announcement from the MSUK that all race meetings are cancelled up until the end of June, the NKRA advises that 5 of their Regional Rounds will now not take place. These include Clay Pigeon on 12th April, Forest Edge on 3rd May, Mansell on 31st May, Clay Pigeon of 14th June & Lydd on 28th June.
As a consequence, there will obviously have to be a revision of the Championship. This will take place later, once our Association is aware of all future implications ( including Government & Motorsport UK guidelines) with regards to the Corona Virus Pandemic.
In the meantime, please stay safe and self isolate where possible.
Best wishes to all
Ron Shone , NKRA Chairman
