MITCHELL McLEOD WINS 2018 NKRA FORMULA BLUE ‘0’ PLATE – Congratulations !
02.04.18Following in father Duncans’ footsteps Mitch has taken the NKRA Formula Blue ‘0’ plate title in his own right. With a pole start and 2nd place finish, his overall score gave him the title and thereby added his name to the winner’s list where father ( Duncan) already had his. Having already ascertained his requirement prior to the Final i.e. finishing no lower than 2nd, he set about his race not involving himself with pressure from Wheeler ( who could not win the ‘0’ plate unless Mitch finished 4th) and strolled ‘it’ home to claim the title.
Mitch also won the Top Weight section whilst Anth Cleal, took the Master and Veteran sections. The last remaining category, the Legends, was won by Stuart Gray making his 4th title in succession.
The ‘BLUE’ Grid now moves on to Mansell Raceway for Round 2 of the NKRA Champs which features Round 3 of the S & B Automotive Academy Formula Blue Challenge.

His tremendous return to form, aided by the correct choice of wet tyres in slippery conditions, signaled to the rest of the grid his intention for 2018. The Legend sub-class was won by David Goode followed home by Keith Hutton.
The second round of the S & B Automotive Academy Challenge, which also incorporates the NKRA ‘0’ plate race for Formula Blue, Blue Master, Blue Veteran and Blue Legend & Blue Top Weight takes place at Forest Edge on April 1st.
