TABOR CHAMPIONSHIPS UPDATE
Despite a disaster for Nigel Vickery, the Championship leader, with a dislodged plug cap, he managed to slightly increase his points advantatge over his rivals. Both Joey Foster and Russell O’Neill were missing from the Clay Pigeon race meeting, allowing Vickery’s mishap to go without points cost. Kevin O’Neill scored the most points on the day and moved up from 14th to 10th, in the process. Jeff Elliss and Ron Shone finished in equal 2nd on points, with Mike Bell bringing up the top four.
Vickery, with two rounds to go now holds an 18 point lead over Foster, with Russell O’Neill 3rd and Shone 4th, only one point behind, Bell remains in 5th place.
The next scoring round ( the penultimate) is on the weekend of October 10th & 11th at the Fulbeck Circuit for the NKRA Grande Finals. Competitors are, at this close point, reminded that the TABOR AWARD PRESENTATION takes place at the Clay Pigeon Hospitality Suite on the evening of Satruday 24th October, a few hours after the conclusion of the race meeting held on the Clay Pigeon Circuit.
