BRANFIELD Beats them all in the opening S & B Automotive Blue Challenge Round
14.03.17In a day of mixed weather conditions, Ian Branfield swept all before him taking pole position and then winning by 4 seconds. Kevin ford claimed 2nd overall with Duncan McLeod 3rd. Branfield, by virtue of this stunning series opener, also took the lead in the Top Weight sections with D. McLeod taking up 2nd spot and Mitch McLeod 3rd. Ford heads up the Master and Veteran sub-groups with D. McLeod 2nd in both. Rob Mortimore finished 3rd overall in the Master group with Graham Dudley 3rd in the Veterans. It is G. Dudley, however, who claims the lead in the Legend Category with Stuart Gray and Kevin O’Neill 2nd and 3rd respectively.
The Challenge now moves on to Mansell Raceway in Devon for round two, on the 26th March.

Attention all Formula Blue Drivers !
06.03.17The opening round of the S & B Automotive Academy is scheduled for March 12th at Clay Pigeon Raceway. Competing Drivers are reminded that they need to be a member of the NKRA. Registration forms, for those not yet registered are available by downloading a form from this website, in the NKRA section, or click here for the form. The complete list of registered drivers will be submitted, as per. usual, to the host club 3 days before the race weekend. Drivers not on this list may be charged full non-members entrance fee !
Tyres and spares at Clay Pigeon on 11 & 12th March
01.03.17Tabor Karting will be in attendance, as usual, at the Clay Pigeon Raceway, with their mobile shop for the race meeting on 11 & 12th March, which includes round 1 of the S & B Automotive Academy, Blue Challenge. Whereas they carry a reasonable amount of spares for all the classes, on the race weekend, they obviously can not plan for every eventuality.
If any competitors require specific spare parts or tyres , please order your requirements in advance ( Tel 01305 774074) by 1pm Wednesday 8th March, for collection at the circuit on the race weekend.

Overlapping Trophies for Formula Blue NKRA Championship 2017
30.01.17Divers competing in the Formula Blue NKRA Championship are reminded that in the event of a driver winning a trophy in either the open class or sub-group, only one trophy will be awarded. The trophy will reflect this achievement and recognition of the success in the other sections will also be engraved on the trophy presented.
Restrictors – Reminder to all Jnr. & Formula Blue Drivers
28.01.17As previously published in December. Junior Blue and Formula Blue drivers are reminded that the restrictor exchange ‘deal’ ends on Feb 1st 2017.

1. All Restrictors marked TAB 3 are being withdrawn from use.
2. The Following restrictors are being changed.
GREY TAB L – becomes RED TAB N
GREEN TAB M – becomes RED TAB N
BLACK TAB M – becomes GOLD TAB L

a) New Restrictors will, in the first instance, be available on an exchange basis at a cost of only £15 each. Upon receipt of the old restrictor(s) a new one(s) will then be sent out, which will be on a ‘FIRST COME’ basis.
b) Any other unwanted / unused restrictors irrespective of type or colour, may be returned for a credit value of £10 per Restrictor.
c) Open purchase ( without the need for an exchange) of the new Restrictors will occur after February 1st 2017, at a cost of £ 30.
