Parts & Tyres for 2 Counties Round at Mansell Raceway 24 /25 September

Tabor Karting will  be in attendance, as usual,  with their mobile shop for the Dunkeswell K.C.  September race meeting at Mansell Raceway.  Whereas they carry a reasonable amount of spares for the race weekend, they obviously can not plan for every eventuality.
If any competitors require specific spare parts or tyres , please order in advance ( Tel 01305 774074)  by 1pm on Thursday 22nd Sept., for collection at the race meeting.

TROPHY RETURN – 2 Counties and NKRA

It is now time to return the  Annual Trophies in order to organise their presentation at the annual  Dinner Dance, held in November.     It takes a reasonable amount of time to collect, sort and engrave these trophies.   Please, would  drivers return their trophies to either Ron Shone at 125 Lanehouse Rocks Road, Weymouth.  DT4 9HY.
or deliver to the Tabor trailer at the next  2 Counties round at Mansell Raceway on the weekend of the 24/ 25th September.

WALDRON & CLEAL ARE THE NEW NUMBER ONE PLATES

As a conclusion to the NKRA Championships, the Junior & Formula Blue classes raced at Forest Edge in the Grande Finals.  Points accrued during the earlier S & B Automotive Academy Regional Championship were carried forward to the Grande Finals, on September 4th.  In the Junior Blue class Taylor Waldron, last year’s number 3 , won both the Regionals and the Grande Finals to rank him as number 1.   Jake Calvert, the current ‘0’ plate winner claimed 2nd overall.
In Formula Blue, Anthony Cleal went into the final weekend in the lead by the narrowest of margins, from Ian Branfield and Matt Helps.  it was, however, Matt Helps who won the Grande Finals with Cleal 2nd and Branfield 4th.  Once the points were totalled Anthony Cleal became the National Champion with Matt Helps 2nd and Branfield, who was last year’s Champion, 3rd.

NKRA GRANDE FINALS – WINNERS

Jake Adams, Taylor Waldron and Matt Helps win NKRA Grande Finals at Forest Edge on 4th September.
With his main rivals absent,  Jake Adams cleaned up in the Cadet Honda Class.

Taylor Waldron took the Junior Blue title despite losing the final race to Jake Calvert.

In the case of the main class, Formula Blue,  the first three raced the final virtually three abreast.   It was, however, Matt Helps who took the title with Anthony Cleal 2nd and Luke Lattimer 3rd, all three separated by only 0.52 of a second.   Helps was also the first Top Weight with Cleal taking the Master section.   Kevin Ford won  the Veteran sub-class and David Goode the Legend section.

NKRA GRANDE FINAL ENTRY CLOSING DATE 27th August 2016

For  registered competitors in Cadet Honda, Junior Blue and Formula Blue that intend to race at Forest Edge on 4th September are reminded that the closing date for entries is 27th August.  All registered competitors have already been sent the relevant entry forms , but can also enter on-line on the Forest Edge website, (with an  admin charge of £ 1.50) by viewing www.fekc.co.uk

NKRA GRANDE FINAL TROPHIES

Competitors in Formula Blue are reminded that the trophy policy, as introduced last year,  will continue in  2016.

Any drivers who win a trophy in the main class will not qualify for a sub-class trophy where one might have been available. They will, however,  be awarded a separate plaque to add on to their main trophy in honour of the added result.
Should a driver in a sub-class qualify for a trophy and they have not won one of the main class trophies then they will be awarded an appropriate trophy in recognition of their efforts.

NKRA GRANDE FINALS ENTRIES NOW OPEN

NKRA  Grande Finals entries are now open for Junior Blue ,  Formula Blue and Honda Cadet.  Entries can either be sent in by post or completed on line at www.fekc.co.uk.

Entries close on 27th August.  Entry and information packs have been posted to all NKRA registered drivers whith a  paper format entry form ( N.B. for drivers who wish to enter online there is an admin charge of £ 1.50 by FEKC).  Don’t delay, get your entry in today !

S & B Automotive Academy Blue Series Winners 2016

Anthony Cleal confirmed his Series 1st place with a pole and win at the Final Round held at Forest Edge on 7th August.  His main Challenge, on the day,  came from Sam Dible who finished 2nd  from the front row.  Overall Series Runner-up was Ian Branfield who picked up 7 points on the day.  In third place was Matty Helps.
The Blue Master section was also taken by Cleal from Kevin Ford.  In the Blue Veteran group it was Ford who claimed the win from Duncan McLeod.
David Goode confirmed his lead in the Blue Legend sub-class, whilst it was Ian Branfield who won the Top Weight group from Cleal.
With the Regional Championship now over,  all drivers prepare for the Grande Finals to be held at Forest Edge on Sept 4th.
