MIXED FORTUNES AT 2 COUNTIES – ROUND 3
07.10.22Devon Giles continued in his unopposed position in the Cadet Handa Class.
Rhys Read shared the win in Junior BLUE with Mitchell Carpenter scoring 3 points each. Third with 4 points was Rudie Winslow-Morten. Despite his non-attendance, Sam Mitchell retains the overall lead due to using up his drop option. Read sits in 2nd spot , 3 points behind and Carpenter is in 3rd overall on 11 points.
Anthony Cleal wins the day with a pole-to-flag win in Formula BLUE. Mike Bell from opposite pole finished 3rd at the line but takes 2nd overall on the day. Third on the day is a much improved Alex Fortune racing his new MAC Kart to its full potential. Cleal, by virtue of his tally of Zero points, takes the Championship lead by 1 point, from Bell. Joey Foster slips to 3rd but remains in contention. Kevin O’Neill holds the 4th spot, 5 points ahead of Paul Alexander.
Cleal also takes the win in the BLUE Master section from Fortune. Equal 3rd with 7 points each was Foster and O’Neill. In the Championship Cleal leads from Foster, O’Neill, Alexander and Steve Groves.
In the BLUE Veteran sub-class, Cleal again takes the win. This time from O’Neill with Groves in 3rd. The Championship has Cleal leading from O’Neill, Alexander, Groves and David Waldron.
O’Neill asserts his authority in the BLUE Legend section with a pole to flag win, zero points on the day and zero points in the Championship. Second on the day was John Hartshorne, with Ron Shone and David Goode sharing 3rd place. In the overall year’s placings Chris underhill holds 2nd place behind O’Neill, with Hartshorn in 3rd.
In the last of the sub-groups, Shone scores a clean sheet from Fred Powel and Tom Parker in the BLUE Top Weight class. Shone also heads the standings from Mortimore and Parker.
The 2022 Championship now moves on to the penultimate round at Mansell Raceway on 30th October.

06.10.22The date for reserved competitor ticket allocation ( October 1st) has now passed, and ticket purchase is now also open to past NKRA competitors. Of course, current competitors who have not yet purchased may still do so. There are however only 23 tickets left.

ANNUAL TROPHY RETURNS ( 2nd Request)
06.10.22Annual trophies continue to be assembled in preparation for the 2022 Awards evening.
Competitors are requested to return the Annual Trophies, that they hold, from the 2021 Championships. These can be either securely packaged and sent to 125 Lanehouse Rocks Road, Weymouth. DT4 9HY or alternatively delivered to Julie, at the TABOR Trade trailer at Clay Pigeon on the race weekend of the 8th & 9th of October.

04.10.22Mitch Carpenter and Rhys Read share the lead after round 1 at Forest Edge. Carpenter started 3rd and won to score 3 points, Read qualified Pole but finished 3rd, also scoring 3 points. Rudie Winslow-Morten took the flag but a nose cone penalty dropped him down to 2nd. Having started 2nd, his point score of 4 points puts him into 3rd place overall.
Round 2 of the mini-championship takes place at Mansell Raceway on October 30th.

Tabor Championship update after Forest Edge on 2nd October 2022
03.10.22Joey Foster returns and consolidates his grip on the TABOR Championship and the £1000 first-place prize. Alex Forture takes 2nd overall on the day and moves up to 19th in the standings. 3rd on the day was Kevin O’Neill who deposes absentee Sam Mitchell for 4th place overall. Anthony Cleal, scoring 12 points came 4th and John Hartshorne 5th on 11 points.
The last two rounds of the TABOR Championship are at Mansell Raceway on the 30th of October and the Clay Pigeon Raceway on the 13th of November.

ENTRIES FOR ROUND 4 OF THE TWO COUNTIES CLUB CHAMPS AT MANSELL, ON OCT 30th
27.09.22Competitors are advised, that entries are now open for the TWO COUNTIES CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP Round 4 , on October 30th, at Mansell Raceway.
There will be practice for those who wish, on Saturday the 29th of October. The Sunday race can be entered on the Mansell Kart Club website, or the link for entries is at the foot of this news brief.
The entry list for the 2 CKC Classes will close at midnight on Saturday, October 22nd. Late entries may be accepted, however, they will be placed on the back of the grid for all heats.

23.09.22Tabor Karting will be in attendance, as usual, with their mobile shop at the Forest Edge Circuit on the 1st & 2nd of October for the Club meeting, which includes the Two Counties Kart Club Championship, round three.
Competitors requiring Tyres/spares for all classes for this event, in order to ensure delivery / collection at the circuit on race weekend, please order and purchase your requirements in advance prior to 12 noon on Wednesday 28th September.

S.W. of England Junior BLUE Series 2022
15.09.22Following on from the NKRA Championship programme, which culminated with the Grade Finals at the Forest Edge Circuit on the weekend of September 3rd & 4th, the 2022 S.W. of England Series will take place.
The Series is open to Junior Blue competitors. There will be 3 rounds, with all to count on a Final grid position plus Final result basis. The dates are: Oct 2nd at the Forest Edge Circuit, October 30th at the Mansell Raceway, and November 13th at the Clay Pigeon Raceway. (There is no extra registration or fee). This year there will be the added bonus of Prize fund voucher as follows,
1st £150, 2nd £100, 3rd £50
Trophies & Prizes will be presented at a presentation evening on November 26th, to which winners must be present to collect.
