N K R A  –  AFFILIATED KART CLUBS – A World of Karting in the UK

Some of you will have competed in previous NKRA Clubman’s Championships, some of you will have heard of the NKRA but are not really sure why it exists and to some, it is a completely unknown organisation.

Here, below, is some historical information,  after which we invite you to join our 2021 Championship.

For 29 years now, the NKRA has organised a Championship that is accessible to all, with minimum extra costs over and above ordinary club racing.

Regional Championships take place over five rounds and are divided into different regions,  Northern England & Wales, Southern England & Wales. Any driver in the following classes can enter –  Cadet Honda,  Junior Blue, Minimax, Formula Blue, Rotax Max
As well as the regional championship, drivers in certain classes may go to a National Finals where they compete over one weekend for the title of NKRA National Champion.
A change in policy many years ago, saw the Grande Finals start to rotate between clubs in each of the regions. The Clay Pigeon Club hosted the finals in 2020.  Due to potential Covid 19 implications,  Clay Pigeon has again been selected to host the Grande Finals in 2021.

It costs just £75 to register for this year’s NKRA Clubman’s Championship.
(£ £70 if registered before  1st December 2020. )

All in fees ( race entry and Sat. practice etc. ) are limited by agreement with the participating clubs to be the same minimum cost as per Club Member rates.

Top drivers in Junior Blue and Formula Blue will be able to display Nationally recognised numbers at NKRA clubs, during the following year.

The NKRA Championships are not commercially owned – all the funds received go back into the Championship and its trophies.
