McLeod Maintains Momentum

An impressive set of race results by Duncan McLeod at the penultimate S & B Automotive Blue Challenge Round helped him to maintain his grip on the Series.  It was not an easy affair as he turned his pole position in the Final into the lead.   During the spectacular 22 lap race ( in sweltering hot conditions)  at the Clay Pigeon Raceway he was harassed all the way by Anth Cleal ( who recorded the fasted time in the Final).  Behind, Toby Cook sat,  hoping for an incident between the front two,  thereby  allowing him to take the results !  As a consequence to this result ,  Duncan McLeod continues to head the list,  but Anth  Cleal moves up to 2nd overall.   Jake Calvert remains in 3rd place , but Mitch McLeod slips to 4th place, just ahead of Toby Cook.
In the Master and Veteran groups, Duncan McLeod sits in the lead from Anth Cleal and Paul Dible.
Despite losing grid position in the Legends section,  David Goode swept to the front of the race and thereby stayed 4 points ahead of Ron Shone, with one round to go.
In the Top weight sub-group, the all conquering Duncan McLeod forged further into the overall lead.  Behind him Mitch McLeod remains in 2nd place,  though Ben Pearson is closing him down.
The Final Round takes place at Forest Edge on the weekend of  5th August.
